A lawsuit filed in a Marin Superior Court Monday alleges that Wal-Mart and Dynacraft Industries knowingly sold “death trap” bicycles to customers.

The suit, filed on behalf of nine U.S. children who were sent over the bikes’ handlebars when the front wheel came loose, is not the first problem for Dynacraft. Between 1999 and 2001 the company, an importer of Chinese bikes, recalled almost 250,000 bikes and last year it recalled 53,000 BMX bikes because of faulty stems.

    Yeah, DirtRag did a story on big chain bike selling and actually went “under cover” to buy some bikes their. Its funny in one sense but these people that are selling bikes and don’t know a fork from a valve stem are really hurting biking period.
