Lean Back and Ride

February 13th, 2005 by Tim Grahl

This weekend the weather was beautiful and I got another ride in on the Redline Monocog. I like to ride with high seat so I had the post up to the highest point that was marked. Well, as you can see in the pictures, I bent the seat post. Now I realize I am carrying a little extra holiday weight, but I dont think it has gotten that bad yet. I felt like I was ghetto riding the rest of the way back to the car.

Although this was a let down, it doesn’t change the fact that I enjoy riding the bike. I notice more each time I ride it how well it handles. There is a specific stretch of very technical and rocky singletrack that I have bailed on every time I have tried it in the past. This time, with the help of the Monocog and Troy pointing the way, I was able to make it down.

Hopefully I’ll be able to grab a knew seatpost quick like so I can keep on riding.
