Raleigh M80

February 2nd, 2005 by Mike

My friend the UPS man delivered the Raleigh M80 today. And of course I couldn’t get the box open fast enough. I looked like a kid at Christmas. I’m at work right now so I have to sit and look at it for six more hours. That’s O.K. though it will be fun to tear up some trails with this bike. Here is what Raleigh says about the bike and some specs:

It’s a realy nice bike! What a good price for it too. The parts are pretty good.
But out of curiosity, what made you go for the M80? I was thinking of getting my wife the Raleigh Ram 1.0 in the near future.

We have a 2004 Raleigh M60 at the shop that we are having a hard time getting rid of….so, if anyone is interested visit http://www.europacycle.com or call me (Jeff) at 319.277.0734

It’s a sweet mnt bike for a first time off road rager. Nothing fancy, just good durable parts (deore) at a rocking price.

My first real (modern)mountainbike was an m80. My son Jerry won several races on it the year before last but trashed a shifter last year and had to finish the season on the vagabond “spot”. Looks like it’s got some nice updates to the 99 model we have.

hey i got an 2004 M80 about for christmas and it rocks!!!! it is really light and quick. The fork sucks though. I only paid 450 bucks with the shrader valve conversion and trade in( stupid mongoose torque got me 60 bucks) i am looking to upgrade to a Manitou stance kingpin fork (175 mm travel!!!!) and 8 inch hayes disc brakes. If anyone is looking for an awesome trail and singletrack bike (maybe even a little downhilling) get a raliegh M80 its the best steal in the bike business.

I am selling a 22″ 2007 Model Raleigh M80 Atomic 13 that is in excellent condition. It has the Deore shifter and Deore LX Deraileurs. Probably has less than 200 miles on it. I am just not using it enough to warrant keeping. Paid $500 will sell for $300 flat.
