Cross country mountain bike racers in Texas will have their first chance to test their off-season training regimen when they converge on the Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda, Texas. The 13th annual Warda Race’s 9-mile course will be run in reverse this year, and I reckon the locals know why the Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association’s website makes a fuss about going us Gas Pass (admittedly, it sounds like the climb stinks). Pro/elite and expert racers do three laps, sport racers do two laps, and beginners get to hit the showers (or the BBQ line) up after just one lap.
